Tournament Rules
- This tournament is sanctioned by the USBC and the ISUSBCYA and shall be governed by the rules of USBC. USBCYA rule 400 will apply to both Youth and Adult.
- This will be a unisex tournament, either male & female, male & male, or female & female.
- This tournament is open to any Adult Bowler who is USBC certified in 2009-2010 as well as any 2009-2010 certified Youth Bowler.
- This tournament will use Highest 2009-2010 certified season ending average for 12 games or more for both Adult and Youth bowler. Anyone without a 2009-2010 certified season ending average may use highest current certified average for 12 games or more at time of bowling State Adult/Youth tournament. Bowlers, both Adult and Youth, whose average at the time of bowling in the Adult/Youth tournament with an average on 12 games or over and is 10 pins or more higher than the season ending average must use the higher average. Averages must be verified by a standing sheet at the time of bowling. Failure to provide a verified average sheet will resulting a bowler using a 210 average. Bowlers using an incorrect average will result in their score being disqualified and any winnings being forfeited.
- Rule 319d and 319e will be waived.
- Handicap will be based on 90% of 210 average
- There will be two (2) divisions. Teams 325 and under and 326 and over.
- All bowlers will bowl 3 games
- This tournament will consist of a 2 member doubles team event. (1 Adult and 1 Youth bowler).
- Bowlers may bowl an additional time in doubles tournament, provided they bowl with different partners.
- All bowlers must wear suitable attire. No clothing with offensive writing, alcohol or tobacco products.
- No Alcohol beverages will be served to Adult bowlers while bowling in this Tournament.
- No smoking while bowling in this Tournament.
- Bowlers will be allowed 5 minutes of practice on starting lanes before their squad starts.
- A bowler arriving late shall begin play and the score shall count beginning with the frame then being bowled. Frames missed shall be credited with a zero. A bowler not present and ready to bowl when it is his/her turn will be credited with a zero for that frame.
- Only bowlers and Tournament Officials shall be permitted in the settee area during competition.
- Claims for errors in scoring or general playing rules must be made to the Tournament Director no later than 30 minutes after completion of the tournament. Questionable errors shall be decided upon by the Tournament Director within 48 hours or before the awards are given out. Each protest under this rule must be specific in itself.
- Scholarships will be given in both Divisions to Youth Bowlers only.
- Symbolic awards will be given to both Adult and Youth bowlers. Awards will be returned 100% to bowlers based on a 1 for 10 entries. Ties will be given the same award.
- a. Scholarships will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to youth bowlers only, in both divisions. Additional scholarships may be awarded based on number of entries received.
- ENTRY FEE must be sent with entry. Advance entries will be accepted up to May 1, 2010. Walk in entries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis each week. Final entries close May 1, 2010.
- In consideration of ISUSBCYA conducting the Adult/Youth Tournament release ISUSBCYA and USBC from any and all liability for any injury or accident involving entrant as a result of entrant participating therein.
- All matters not covered by these rules and regulations shall be determined by the Indiana State USBCYA TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE and the USBC.
- Scholarships will be administered by the ISUSBCYA with funds being sent to the Smart Program at the USBC National Office.
